Note: Candidate should register only at any JAMB’s CBT Accredited centre and JAMB State Offices. Candidates are warned not to register in cybercafé or any other online platform other than JAMB’s CBT Accredited Centre and JAMB State Offices. Any registration done outside JAMB’s Accredited Centres will be identified and disqualified.

Requirements for JAMB Registration

Before you proceed to JAMB CBT Accredited Centres for registration you will have to go with the following items:

i. National Identification Number (NIN)
Your National Identity Number (NIN) will be needed. If you have forgotten your NIN, you can retrieve yours by dialling * 346# from the phone number which you used for the NIN registration.

This method is only for MTN and AIRTEL network line users.

ii. Profile Registration
You will need a Profile Code to register for JAMB. To get a Profile Code, just send your name via text message (SMS) to 55019 with this format (Surname First-Name Middle-Name [if any]). Your name should be a maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between names (40) characters.

For example, if your name is Ahmed Obi Adekunle, you will have to send it to 55019 in this format (AHMED OBI ADEKUNLE) to 55019. Surname and First name are mandatory. After that, a Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone number.

Note: The phone number used for your profile registration, it’s very important for further communication with Jamb.

If you’ve forgotten your profile code, you can retrieve it using SMS short code.
Just Text [Resend] to 55019 from the same phone number you used for registration, but it will cost you an SMS charge of N50 (fifty naira) after which your profile code will be sent to your phone number.
